Fursan Al Qasid

Literary and cultural competitions that seek to enhance cultural and poetic character and disseminate it especially among the youth in Saudi Arabia, the Gulf, and the Arab world in general. King Abdul Aziz Award for Poetry, "Fursan Al Qasid," aims to preserve the rich heritage reserves of the region. In five Arab cities and capitals: Riyadh, Jeddah, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait and Oman, casting was launched to select elite of poetic and literary talents through its successive stages.
Thousands of applicants seek to present their poetic skills and literary talents within the main categories representing four traditional platforms: Nabati, Mahalla, Sheila, and Arab popular poetry (Zajal, Ataba, Dharmi, Malhoun). Competitors compete infront the members of the specialized jury, which includes the following professors: Mohammed Al-Sanani and Turki Al-Ghunami, under the supervision and participation of Nasser Al-Qahtani, who examines applicants and chooses the best ones to compete in the program,
